膜蛋白的解析史上有两个重要事件:一个是米歇尔教授等在世界上第一个解析膜内在蛋白,他们以的高分辨率给出了紫色细菌光和反应中心的三维结构,接着又对其功能进行了阐释。可以说其成果是膜蛋白解析领域的一个里程碑。另一个是麦金农对离子通道的解析和阿格雷对水通道的解析,他们都做出了非常杰出的成果,并且都获得了诺贝尔奖。
